“Construction of the school in the settlement Aneks is one of the largest and most important infrastructure projects that we are realizing together with the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo and the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Canton Sarajevo. The school is located in the area where the two municipalities are connecting. The problem for children to go to school is present on this area for several years. Vrbovska Street is very impassable in the winter, there are no sidewalks, even several accidents happened, so that the construction of the school is very important for our residents,” said the Mayor, Semir Efendic.

Minister Kazazovic said that the Ministry is not able to realize capital projects on its own, so that the municipality of Novi Grad and Novo Sarajevo are helping in accordance to their capabilities, in order to solve the problem of infrastructure for our children. He added that the Government of CS will continue to co-finance the project.

Koldzo recalled that the idea for the construction of the school is dating back from 2007, but that the project was launched upon the arrival of the Mayor Efendic at the head of the municipality, and the construction of the school started in May 2014.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth allocated 500,000 BAM for the continuation of works, the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo allocated 550,000 BAM, while the Municipality of Novi Grad allocated 440,000 BAM. Project was implemented by the Development Planning Institute of Sarajevo Canton.
