How will BiH use 235 Million EUR Loan from EBRD?

The State of Bosnia and Herzegovina intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the “Bank”) in the amount of EUR 120 million and a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the amount of EUR 90 million to finance the construction of priority motorway sections along the international transport Corridor Vc. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 235 million, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:

Construction of the following motorway sections:

  • section Tarčin-Konjic, subsection Tarčin-Ivan (length = 6.8 km):LOT 2 Tunnel Ivan (length = 2 km)
  • section Poprikuše-Nemila (length = 5.1 km)

Consultancy services for the following activities:

  • Supervision of the section Tarčin-Konjic, subsection Tarčin-Ivan (length = 6.8 km):LOT 2 Tunnel Ivan (length = 2 km)
  • Supervision of the section Poprikuše-Nemila (length = 5.1 km)
  • Project Implementation Unit Support

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the second half of 2018.
