Humanitarian Organization in BiH must pay 80.000 BAM to the Patient they promised Treatment to

On June 27th, the municipal court in Sarajevo decided in a first-instance verdict that Almir Cehajic Batko and “Otvorena mreza” must pay 80.000 BAM to Admir Salkic and the costs of the court proceedings.

This was announced by Salkic‘s lawyer, Nisad Omerovic, who represents another person in the case against Cehajic. As Omerovic announced, Salkic, who is a dialysis patient like his mother, sued Cehajic.

“On April 16th, 2018, he paid 80.000 BAM to Cehajic for treatment, while he was running ”Otvorena mreza”, as a result of which they concluded a contract. Cehajic took the money, but never ensured treatment,” said Omerovic.

According to him, Cehajic and “Otvorena mreza” were spending money for something that was not intended for treatment at all.

To recall, Cehajic was arrested in October 2020, and he was released from custody in mid-November 2020. He is accused of having illegally acquired 625,000 BAM, of disposing of loans in the name of the company “City – Otvorena mreza”, which, according to the prosecution, caused damage to this company in excess of 50.000 BAM, Klix.ba reports.
