Hundred Citizens laid Flowers at the Monument of Tito

TitoAround hundred citizens laid flowers and wreaths at the monument to Josip Broz Tito in the capital of BiH, on the occasion of birthday of the former president of Yugoslavia.

Among the visitors of the former Marshal Tito Barracks were young antifascists, representatives of the Association “Josip Broz Tito” Sarajevo and the Youth Forum of SDP BiH.

Monument, which is located in front of the present-day Sarajevo University Campus, is traditional gathering place for admirers of the figure and work of the President of the former state.

The date that was marked as Tito’s birthday, the 25th of May, in former system was celebrated as the Day of Youth. It was celebrated by carrying a relay which was delivered to Tito personally after passing through a significant part of Yugoslavia.
