Vilsonovo_SetalisteToday, the spring cleaning action started in popular Sarajevo alley ‘Vilsonovo Šetalište’ called ‘Broom against the Violence’ and a great number of young people participated. The action is organised with the aim of preventing juvenile delinquency, reports klix.ba

Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Education started the action in cooperation with Democratic Youth Movement and Institute for the Youth Development ‘Kult’.

Great number of citizens participated in the action, and the action is both important for cleaning as well as fighting negative trends in society.

Head of Novo Sarajevo Municipality Nedžad Koldžo said that everyone must be included in preventing the juvenile delinquency, and that every initiative of that kind is welcomed.

Minister of Education of KS Damir Marjanović said to klix.ba that the Ministry has the aim to promote positive and good projects and several months ago the Ministry started cooperating with the aforementioned associations in order to realize this project.

Marjanović added that the Ministry planned similar actions in 2013 and 2014.

Koldžo and Marjanović opened this action with symbolic planting of three trees, and volunteers were divided in groups of 10, and the best team will be awarded at the end of the action, when the truck will carry the collected trash. Three young bands will entertain the participants of the action.
