The President of the Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik said yesterday at a press conference in Banja Luka that during his visit to Hungary it was agreed that the government of that country would invest a total of 118 million euros in the RS.
He emphasized that of that amount, about 70 million euros were planned for some of the projects that the German government decided not to finance after the National Assembly of the RS (NARS) passed decisions by which that entity would take over some of the powers of BiH as a state.
Dodik said that he held an excellent meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and with the leaders of Serbia, Turkey and Azerbaijan, Aleksandar Vucic, Recep T. Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev.
He said that the RS has problems, but that they are being solved by “sharing it with friends”.
“So far this year, we have settled obligations of 740 million BAM, and we have withdrawn money from the market in the amount of 350 million BAM“, said Dodik.
Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Presidency member Zeljka Cvijanovic also spoke at the press conference, stating that she is grateful to Hungary for the political understanding of the situation in BiH and added that cooperation between the RS and Hungary continues.
