Ibrahim Spahić: Kemal died, the Soul of Sarajevo is Wounded

ibrahim spahic gdsToday is a very sad day for Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kemal Monteno died this morning. Among numerous condolences, Ibrahim Spahić, director of the internationally famous festival “Sarajevska zima” also expressed his condolences to the family and closest friends of this truly great artist.

“The soul of Sarajevo is wounded today. His friends and admirers will keep the memory of Kemal and his magical world forever in their hearts. We grew up together, along with the city from which we used to sail all the way to the see through his music. Wherever the citizens of Sarajevo are in this world, every time they think of their town, Kemal we be with them.” – said Spahić.

May he rest in peace.
