Minister of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton Nermin Pećanac confirmed on Al-Jazeera TV that the cantonal police today received an order to be tolerant towards citizens.
‘’The police were tolerant, but I am absolutely certain that the hooligans were paid to riot around Sarajevo. The police are currently in control of the situation’’, said Pećanac.
He confirmed that ‘’the police is not beating up citizens, but will not allow hooligans to beat up police officers’’, and he added that at least 60 people were injured.
‘’Although people have been taken away, no one has been arrested yet. Individuals still abused the situation and engaged in criminal acts’’, said Pećanac.
