The Ilidza Fire Department intervened on Tuesday evening in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Osjek to rescue a kitten trapped in a pipe of the installations underneath the bridge surface.

Namely, on Tuesday, July 8th, around 9:45 p.m., Mrs. Kemala Selimovic came to the premises of the Ilidza Fire Department, reporting that a kitten was trapped under the bridge in the Osjek neighborhood.

The firefighters arrived on the scene at 9:50 p.m. and found the kitten trapped in a pipe of the installation underneath the bridge surface.

With the help of ladders and other equipment, the kitten was successfully rescued at 10:20 p.m. and handed over to the person who had requested assistance.

“This is not the first time that the Ilidza firefighters have done such humane deeds – you’ve written about it yourselves – and we’re happy that we managed to save this little creature,” said Nijaz Imamovic.

The girl who called the firefighters said: “I called 123, the main fire department, they shifted responsibility to 121, the civil protection service, who told me to call the firefighters in Ilidza. So I came in person to the fire station to have the kitten rescued.”, Klix.ba writes.
