The BiH Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Ana Trišić-Babić received in Sarajevo yesterday the State Secretary for European Integration of Montenegro Aleksandar Andrija Pejović.
Trišić-Babić emphasized that relations between BiH and Montenegro are good and friendly, but that they have to improve, especially in the field of inter-state cooperation on issues of European integration and mutual assistance in regional cooperation, and reforms on the way to EU integration.
Pejović agreed with Trišić-Babić that inter-state cooperation has to improve in the area of inter-state cooperation for EU integration and through IPA funds, it transfers positive experiences of Montenegro, and will activate common projects that enable a faster fulfillment of the commitments to reform society on the way to EU integration.
Trišić-Babić assessed a positive European integration path of Montenegro and spoke to Pejović on the efforts of BiH in addressing and correcting deficiencies in the process of Croatia’s forthcoming EU accession and the needs and tasks in achieving inter-state cooperation so that there would be a positive resolution of inter-state issues between BiH and Croatia.
They concluded that it is necessary to continue and intensify cooperation to a significant extent by exchanging positive experiences and knowledge in the process of reform of society, lending inter-state support on the path to European integration for which both countries strive.
