The Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević presented the results of work of the Government of FB&H in the past 100 days, and announced coming activities, at a press-conference held yesterday in Sarajevo.
A hundred days, believes Novalić, is not enough for reforms, adding that in the following period the economy must be recovered, given that the Government of FB&H opted for a longer reform path.
‘’In the next four, five days, as a commitment we bring in the treasury additional 25 million BAM of incentives for farmers, actually for the production in agriculture, and which were not integral part of the budget’’, stated Milićević.
The Federal Government, she says, projects savings of 15 million in allowances and salaries, as well as savings of 4 million BAM of material costs stating that each mark of the public money is well taken care of, directed and analyzed.
She points out that the Federal Ministry of Finance intensely works on reforming the tax system.
As one of the first reforms, the current Government introduced the moratorium on employment, while the past Government in the first 100 days processed 16 items on the agenda in which the consent was being given to the Federal ministries and institutions for recruiting new staff.
‘’The moratorium on all employment in the public sector will be on force until further notice and the intention is to decrease the number of employees by a natural outflow of workforce, and also in this way to reduce the costs on the basis of salary, with which the 15 million BAM savings will be obtained’’, emphasized Novalić.
