Income from Indirect Taxes increased by 84 Million BAM

Revenues from indirect taxes in the first two months of this year amounted to one billion and 885 million BAM and are higher by 84 million BAM or 4.66 percent compared to the same period last year, when they amounted to one billion and 801 million BAM, announced the Administration for Indirect Taxation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IAO BiH).

In the first two months of 2026, the administration refunded VAT to taxpayers who exercised their legal right to a refund in the amount of 354 million BAM.

The net collected revenues that were distributed to users in the first two months of 2026, namely the state, entities and Brčko District, amounted to one billion and 530 million BAM, which is 7.11 percent more than in 2025.

In February of this year, slightly more than one billion BAM indirect taxes were collected, which is 79 million BAM more than in February last year.

An amount of 158 million BAM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the first two months of 2026. All excess collected revenues from indirect taxes ended up in entity coffers and Brčko District.

Thus, the Federation of BiH received 834 million BAM from the Single Account of the ITA BiH, Republika Srpska 467 million BAMl and Brčko District 46 million BAM, according to the ITA BiH.

Based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 40 million BAM, the Republika Srpska 26 million BAM, and the Brčko District 1.3 million BAM.

The difference represents a reserve in a special account for tolls in the amount of 0.25 BAM, the announcement states.
