The incomplete remains of a victim of the past war were exhumed today at the micro-locality of Seona, which is located in the municipality of Banovići.

The remains were found on the surface of the field, and some clothes were also found with them – the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

After the exhumation, the remains were transferred to the Commemorative Center in Tuzla, where their criminal and forensic-medical processing will be carried out.

At the same time, bone samples will be taken out with the aim of identifying the victim with the help of the DNA method.

The exhumation was managed by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and an investigator from the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a forensic medicine expert, members of the Banovići Police Station and workers of the Tuzla Commemorative Center participated in it.

The exhumation was carried out according to the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
