Increase in Production of Drinking Milk and Products in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In June 2020 the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 2,83%, sheep by 6,41% and pigs by 17,26%, while the number of slaughtered poultry increased by 2,19% in relation with the same period of 2019.

The net weight of slaughtered cattle increased by 4,98% and of slaughtered poultry by 0,37%, while the net weight of slaughtered sheep decreased by 10,92% and of slaughtered pigs by 19,48% in relation with the same period of 2019, according to BiH’s Agency for Statistics.

In June of 2020 the total amount of collected cow’s milk increased by 7,3% in relation with the same period of 2019. Production of drinking milk increased by 19,6%, cream by 3,3% and butter and other yellow fat products by 5,0%, while the production of acidified milk decreased by 13,9% and cow’s cheese by 1,9% in relation with the same period of 2019.

The total amount of milk fat increased by 1,6%, and the total amount of milk protein increased by 0,9% in relation with the same period of 2019.

The number of eggs placed in hatcheries in June of 2020 increased by 6,45% in relation with the same period of 2019.

The total number of hatched day-old chicks in hatcheries during June of 2020 increased by13,00% in relation with the same period of 2019.
