Increase recorded in the average Salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The average monthly net salary paid per employee in the Federation of BiH in May this year was 1,277 BAM and is nominally higher by 3.6 percent, and in real terms by four percent, than in the previous month.

Compared to the same month last year, the average monthly net salary paid in FBiH in May was nominally higher by 15 percent, and in real terms by 8.7 percent, the Federal Bureau of Statistics announced.

The largest increase in the average monthly net salary paid in May compared to April was nominally recorded in agriculture, forestry and fishing by 11.1 percent, followed by production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 10.9 percent, and health and social protection by 10.2 percent.

The average gross salary in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in May amounted to 1,987 BAM and compared to April it is nominally higher by 3.9 percent and in real terms by 4.3 percent, while compared to May of last year it is nominally higher by 15.9 percent and in real terms 9.6 percent.
