Federal Minister of the Interior Ramo Isak and Deputy Director of the Federal Police Administration Ensad Korman today sent a letter to the police administrations of the Cantonal Ministries of the Interior with the aim of additional engagement of all available police capacities and encouraging the cooperation of competent institutions with citizens.
“Dear citizens, the unfortunate and horrific events that took place in the Republic of Serbia in which innocent children and an employee of the “Vladislav Ribnikar” school in Belgrade lost their lives, by a boy of their age, the mass murder committed by a twenty-year-old man in Mladenovci, as well as the fact that the officers of the Federal Police Administration yesterday deprived of liberty an eighteen-year-old young man from Bihać who threatened on social media that he would commit a massacre at the School of Economics in Bihać, caused insecurity and fear among the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Additional involvement refers to the increased presence of police officers around schools, kindergartens, in means of public transport, in places where minors and teenagers gather, and active monitoring of social networks and forums, where information can be gathered about people who support this or similar forms of violence as well as other activities whose purpose is to prevent the execution of such criminal acts.
The Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Police Administration will provide all the necessary assistance with their material, technical and personnel capacities, in order to raise the level of security in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the highest possible level and prevent individuals from committing criminal acts, which we have witnessed in the past a few days,” the statement from the FPA states.
