The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tripoli marked March 1 – Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina with an appropriate program.
On this occasion, an iftar was organized for the Bosnian diaspora in Libya, primarily for citizens who live and work in Tripoli and its surroundings.
The host of the meeting, the ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Libya, Senad Mašović, in his address reminded of the historical significance of March 1, 1992, when the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided in a referendum for a sovereign and independent state.
He pointed out that Independence Day represents one of the most important dates in the modern history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a symbol of the democratic will of its citizens, as well as the permanent dedication to freedom, territorial integrity and international subjectivity of the state.
The celebration of Independence Day took place in a festive and friendly atmosphere, with messages of unity, solidarity and commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
