The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has filed an indictment against 22-year-old Armel Zalihić, who is charged with threatening to commit a terrorist act against a mosque in Konjic via social media.

Zalihić is charged with threatening to commit a terrorist act against a mosque in Konjic via social media on March 26, with the intention of seriously intimidating the population and destabilizing the basic political, constitutional and social structures in BiH, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH stated.

He threatened to attack people and cause great damage to public facilities, which would endanger human lives, reports BIRN.

On March 28, members of the Federal Police Administration identified a person from Konjic, whose initials are A.Z., who threatened to commit a massacre in a mosque in this town for Eid al-Fitr.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office’s proposal, Zalihić was remanded in custody after his arrest due to the risk that he might flee, influence witnesses and repeat the crime.
