Info- day for entrepreneurs on the topic “Importance of intellectual property for the company” is being held today in Sarajevo, under the organization of the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H and Institute for Intellectual Property of B&H.
The Director of Euro Info Center of B&H Foreign Trade Chamber Senad Hromić said that the focus of Info-day will be on protection of patents and trademarks. He emphasized that all the serious companies are trying to innovate existing or produce completely new products to make them more competitive, which is why it is very important to have the possibility of patent protection.
“Regarding to trademarks, many companies in B&H have already ensured some protection, and our aim for Info-day is to emphasize the importance of this protection in order to strengthen the recognition of companies”, said Hromić.
He explained that besides the logo, the shape of the product can be also protected, which can have a great value such as the trademark Coca-Cola, which is estimated at more then 50 million dollars.
