marritottMarriott International continues to expand in Eastern Europe with the opening of its first hotel in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 75-suite Residence Inn Sarajevo.  The hotel, operated by an affiliate of U.S.-based Interstate Hotels & Resorts, is the first internationally-branded hotel in the country and fills a gap in the extended stay market with spacious suites and studios that enable guests to thrive on long stays.

Ideal for stays of five nights or more, the Residence Inn Sarajevo comprises 62 studios and 13 suites, each with a fully-equipped kitchen and separate areas for eating, working and relaxing.  The well-designed rooms promote productivity with large, well-lit work desks, ergonomic chairs and complimentary high-speed Internet.  A welcoming and restorative feel is created throughout with warm, earthy colours and light wood fixtures and fittings.  Natural light floods the rooms through floor to ceiling windows and each suite has its own private terrace.

Designed to meet the needs of extended-stay guests, the inviting public spaces feature flexible seating for working or relaxing and a 24-hour Market selling drinks, snacks and meals.  Additional facilities at the Residence Inn Sarajevo include free grocery delivery, airport pick up and drop off (at additional charge) and a fitness centre with sauna.

Ideally located just twenty minutes from the airport and near the old city, the Residence Inn Sarajevo provides convenient access to the city’s historical and cultural attractions as well as restaurants, cafes and shops.  An attractive year-round destination, Sarajevo is known for its variety of summer festivals and skiing throughout the winter months.
