Inspection team of the European Commission Directorate of Health and food audit and analysis (FVO) has been staying in BiH since March 14 in order to check on the implementation of the Action Plan for solving the recommendations given after the audit conducted in January 2014. That includes six control counts that the FVO previously demanded from BiH in order to meet the conditions for the export of milk and dairy products to the EU.
Two inspectors have already visited the Sarajevo dairy Milkos and Farma Spreča. In the final exposure, they gave the highest mark, said the Director of Milkos Adin Fakić.
Dairy Milkos is getting ready for the first export to the EU, precisely to Croatia. They are going to export several of their products in early April. According to Fakić, products intended for export are completely new products on this market.
“We are talking about the Greek yoghurt Cremos, Ayran, Kremi sour cream and cheese. All procedures have been fully respected, as well as declarations, and we are ready to export,” Fakić said.
Although he did not want to reveal details, Fakić said that they will soon be visited by a company which is a representative for the market of the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Germany. They will taste some products that might find their place on the shelves in these European countries soon.
