KNJIGA-PRESS26th International Book Fair under the motto “Word-Book-Fair” will be held from 23 to 28 April, in Sarajevo.

The fair will open at Skenderija Center on the World Book and Copyright Day and the admission for visitors will be free.

Head of “Bosanske kuće” Mirsad Bećirbašić at today’s conference said that the book fair in Sarajevo is not only a manifestation of books, writers and readers.

“It is much more than that, because the fair commemorates the book fair that took place in besieged Sarajevo at the Museum of Literature, when under the sniper shots and grenades is held ’embryo’ of what is today one of the most important literary events in the region. As occurred the Sarajevo Winter and Sarajevo Poetry Days and preparations for the exhibition ‘Svjedoci vremena’ as well as cultural events every night at Chamber Theater” , said Bećirbašić.

According to him, this year “Bosanska kuća” will actually be “Bosanska bašča”, where will take place more than 50 promotions.
