International children’s festival of folk dances ‘Ilidža’ start today

iowaFrom 21 to 25 June, Ilidža and Sarajevo will be the hosts and cultural capital of children’s folk dances from 9 countries, reports klix.ba

Cultural association ‘Gajret’ Sarajevo is the organiser of the annual festival, and more than 500 children from Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey and BiH will participate at the festival.

The aim of the festival is to preserve tradition, develop friendship, spread love and peace among children.

The participants will also visit Vrelo Bosne, Ilidža, Igman, Baščaršija and other landmarks of Sarajevo as well as Mostar.

The festival will be opened on 21 June at 8 p.m. and it will be closed on 23 June with a concert at 8 p.m.
