International election observers in Bosnia and Herzegovina to hold press conference on Monday

international observersThe international observers monitoring the 12 October general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina will present their preliminary post-election statement at a news conference on Monday, 13 October, in Sarajevo.

The international observation mission is a common endeavor involving the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR), the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

The statement will be delivered by Roberto Battelli, the Special Co-ordinator and leader of the short-term OSCE observer mission, followed by Tiny Kox, Head of the PACE delegation, Marietta Tidei, Head of the OSCE PA delegation, and Corien Jonker, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR long-term election observation mission.

The International Election Observation Mission comprises almost 300 observers from 38 countries, including more than 220 long-term and short-term observers deployed by the OSCE/ODIHR, 38 parliamentarians and staff from the OSCE PA, and 30 from PACE.

Journalists are invited to attend the news conference on Monday, 13 October, at 14:00, in the Banja Luka Room of the Bristol Hotel, Fra Filipa Lastrića 2, Sarajevo 71000.
