The International Forum of Solidarity MFS-EMMAUS continued in 2018 with the actions of collecting humanitarian aid for the people of Syria.

Thanks to the donations of people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 13 tons of clothing and footwear were collected through humanitarian containers set up in Tuzla, Živinice, Gračanica, Srebrenik and Odžak, which resulted in a ship’s container aid to the people of Syria that departed on Monday.

Since 2014, MFS-EMMAUS has delivered 1,280 tonnes of food aid in 53 freight vehicles (five convoys), consisting of food and hygiene products collected in the area of Banja Luka, Tuzla, Zenica and Sarajevo.

In addition, last year, two ship containers of clothing and footwear were also sent. Assistance will be delivered to the Turkish port of Mersin, whereupon it will be taken over by the Syrian humanitarian organization “Masrrat”, which is conducting the distribution of goods to people living in Syria.

In the forthcoming period, a large humanitarian action will be organized for the people of Syria across the whole BiH.
