imfThe International Monetary Fund announced that the acceleration of global economic growth this year is expected. This was announced in Washington on the eve of the spring session of the Assembly of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

It is expected that the economy will grow slightly by 3.5 per cent per year which is more optimistic forecast compared to the end of 2016. Forecasts for 2018 have not changed and are predicting growth of 3.6 percent.

Moreover, it is stated that the growth in the United States will be faster, given the planned measures to facilitate tax levies, strengthening currencies and confidence in the economy.

However, IMF foresees substantial risks, including the announcement of protectionism that could lead to trade wars.

Good forecasts are also for Russia, which enjoys the benefits of rising oil prices.
