Salih Mulalic lost a total of 67 family members in the Srebrenica genocide. In an emotional interview, he shared that among the killed were his father, brother, and child.

“I lost no less than 67 family members in the genocide: my father, brother, and child. I survived the genocide, the death march in July 1995. Today, 25 years later, I am taking this journey for the 14th time. This is how I pay tribute to all the victims along the way,” he said.

He also described the feeling of entering Potocari from the Peace March and being greeted by the Mothers of Srebrenica.

“The emotions are very mixed, it is very difficult. Everything that happened in 1995 comes back again on this day, and not just on this day, but in any case, it is very difficult,” Mulalic stated.

To recall, about 5.000 people set out yesterday morning from Nezuk near Sapna, heading towards Potocari to pay tribute to the thousands of men and boys killed in the Srebrenica genocide in July 1995. Over the next three days, they will follow the route that Srebrenica residents took 29 years ago in their attempt to reach free territory – Tuzla or Kladanj, N1 writes.
