In Doha, the capital of Qatar, new negotiations on a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip began, but without representatives of the Palestinian group Hamas.

Representatives of Israel as a party to the war, as well as mediators from the USA, Egypt and Qatar, met in Doha.

Although there is no representative of Hamas at the meeting itself, Reuters reports that their partners from Qatar will transmit all information about the progress of the negotiations and convey the position of this group during the talks.

Let us remind you that Hamas refused to come due to the opinion that previous agreements should be implemented before continuing with peace negotiations.

“Hamas is committed to the proposal presented on July 2, based on the UN Security Council resolution and Joe Biden’s speech, and the movement is ready to immediately begin discussing the mechanism for its implementation. Going to new negotiations allows Israel to impose new conditions and benefits a labyrinth of negotiations to carry out new massacres,” Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri expressed the group’s position.

The negotiations are also important because of world media reports that depending on the success of this attempt at an agreement, Iran will decide whether to attack Israel. The entire region and much of the world fears a major conflict between two countries believed to possess nuclear weapons, Klix.ba writes.
