13393068_1781029595467050_1580815950_nThanks to the company Intral BH, the footwear factory Aida from Tuzla was brought back to life. The company rented objects of Aida, space for storage and production on 5,300 m2, and employed the workers who make shoes that are 100 % exported outside the borders of BiH. Customers are from the European Union – Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Italy and France.

Besides the above mentioned countries, shoes from the factory from Tuzla, through commercial services of their business partners, find their customers in South America, Central America, the Middle East, and also throughout the European Union.

Shoes are produced entirely in BiH and they are sold on the market under the label “Made in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

“Intral BH is doing complete manufacturing declaration, which often includes everything from the bar code and often to retail prices,” said Alija Sehovic, Director of Intral, while going back to the beginning of the story when they became a strategic partner of the footwear factory Aida and moved significant part of their production facility from Lukavac to Tuzla.

They invested around 1 million BAM in the rehabilitation of the facilities, and started hiring workers who were essential for the continuation of the trend of business and increase of business activity.

“The hardest part on the labor market was to find highly specialized workers. Thus, we have started a joint project with USAID (SIDA – GOLD), the High School from Tuzla and City Administration of Tuzla on registration of departments in the High School in Tuzla and along with education, professional practice in Intral BH was agreed as well. At the same time, we are working to expand capacity and the purchase of equipment and instruments for work. In the next month, we are planning to establish two production lines for sewing and we recently completed the installation of additional assembly track,” said Sehovic.

Intral continued with further expansion when it comes to core business of footwear industry. The goal is to have 400 production workers by the end of the year.

“We have a relatively young production staff, and with the help of USAID and the Institute for Employment we managed to educate part of workers through non-formal education. Before the separation of the company, the age limit was 27 years, and currently in Intral the age limit is 30 years,” said Sehovic.
