Investigation Reveals Elderly Woman Was Not Killed in Ozren

The old woman who was found dead in the returnee village of Lukavac on Ozren was not murdered, the first preliminary information of the investigation indicates, the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor’s Office announced.

The Prosecutor’s Office will announce all the details important to the public tomorrow.

“According to the preliminary results of the autopsy, which the forensic expert verbally communicated to the prosecutor on duty, the death of the old woman Jelena Pejic (born in 1949), whose body was found in the family house on Ozren, did not occur as a result of the use of force by another person and it is not a murder,”

The Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office appeals to various political and other actors, as well as certain media outlets, to refrain from presenting incorrect information and to leave the investigation and publication of official information about the results of the investigation to the competent prosecutor’s office and the police.

The lifeless body of 76-year-old P. J. with multiple injuries was found yesterday in the returnee village of Panjik on Ozren.
