agrokomercAfter making contact with the Ministry of Agriculture, Water-Management And Forestry of the FBiH, representatives of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) visited the former food giant “Agrokomerc” from Velika Kladusa with the aim of a potential investment in plants of this company and start of the production.

Potential investors from Dubai expressed interest in starting production in a number of facilities of Agrokomerc, and during the visit they tried to get as much information about the former food giant as possible: how old is the equipment, the existence of a program of individual production units, condition of the electricity network, and many other questions.

They also showed the interest in investing in the sector of the meat industry, as well as the production of biscuits.

From the Government of the FBiH, which is the majority owner of Agrokomerc, confirmed that they are one of the most important investors, whose possible entry into Agrokomerc could return the former glory to the company.

Guests from Dubai, during a tour of Velika Kladusa, also visited the hotel complex Stari grad, and the hosts expressed hope that this tourism potential could also attract the attention of Arab businessmen. Director of BBI Bank Amer Bukvic joined the Arab delegation in Krajina.

Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) is a state investment fund of Dubai, which invests in the field of financial services, transportation, energy, industry and real estate. In the month of May, the ICD acquired the ownership over the nautical-tourism complex for marinas and mega yachts Porto Montenegro in Montenegro, in which they have invested tens of millions of EUR, and it is the first major direct foreign investment that is launched after the restoration of Montenegro’s independence, which says enough about their significance as investors.

Currently, Agrokomerc has 250 employees, of which 112 have work status.
