Investor confidence in the eurozone dropped in September to its lowest level since January 2024, marking the third consecutive month of decline.
Sentix, a market research firm based in Frankfurt, released data showing the overall investor confidence index in the eurozone for September.
According to the results, the investor confidence index fell from -13.9 points in August to -15.4 points in September.
The expectations index, which measures investor outlook for the next six months, slightly improved from -8.8 points to -8 points, while the current situation index dropped from -19 points to -22.5 points.
In a statement, Sentix indicated that the eurozone remains on the verge of recession, with Germany’s political and economic situation weighing heavily on the entire eurozone.
“In this context, the only hope for investors lies in potential support from monetary policy,” the report said.
The survey was conducted from September 5th to 9th, with 1.142 investors participating.
