In accordance with his powers, Reis-ul-Ulema Husein ef. Kavazović issued an instruction to the Muftis at the territory of the Islamic Community in B&H which stated that, at places where it is recited at 12 p.m., the adhan will be recited five minutes later, at 12:05 p.m., on Monday, the Mourning Day in the FB&H.
“Islamic Community in B&H joins the initiative of the European leaders which invites all Europeans to pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack in France on Monday, November 16, 2015. In this regard, I request from all imams at the territory of the Islamic Community in B&H (hometown, meshihats and jamaats in the Bosniak diaspora) to postpone the recital of adhan on Monday, November 16, for five minutes and recite adhan at 12:05 a.m., at places where the adhan is regularly recited at 12 p.m.,” stated the instruction issued by Reis Kavazović.
The Council of Ministers of B&H has earlier reached a decision to declare Monday, November 16, the Mourning Day as a sign of regret for victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris where 129 people were killed.
As stated in the announcement of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, on that day flags will be lowered at half-mast at all institutions of B&H.
Moreover, the Government of FB&H invited all citizens to pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack in Paris at 12 p.m. with a minute of silence, praying Fatiha, or in any other appropriate way, just like citizens of all European countries will do.
