The leadership of the Islamic Community in Doboj made a serious failure in arranging a meeting room for representatives of the Islamic Community with Presidency member Milorad Dodik, when only the flag of Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska entity was highlighted, the Office for Public Relations of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in a press release.

“The Islamic Community considers this a serious failure, which is why it apologizes to all its members, and internal procedures will establish the responsibility of the competent bodies of the Islamic Community. At the same time, the Islamic Community welcomes meetings and cooperation of representatives of the Islamic Community with all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina to ensure the rights of Muslims in every part of its territory,” the statement added.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Member Milorad Dodik donated 100,000 BAM on Wednesday for the construction of the Islamic Center in Doboj.

After visiting the facility under construction in the city and talking with Bajro Dzafic, head of the Islamic community in Doboj, he expressed the Republika Srpska’s commitment to peace, stability and equal rights for all citizens.

“We all need good cooperation and to preserve peace and stability,” Dodik said, with the belief that the construction of the Islamic Center would be completed very soon.

Dzafic thanked Dodik for the funds provided.

“The Islamic Center will be for the benefit of all citizens – added Dzafic, recalling that the construction of the center began in 2015.”

Doboj Mayor Boris Jerinic reminded that the city of Doboj also financially helped build the Islamic Center.

“This will be an educational center, and good coexistence is a feature of Doboj, which we will preserve,” said Jerinic.
