Yemeni media reported that the Israeli army hit the Houthi-controlled city of Al-Hudaydah in western Yemen. This information is also transmitted by the Israeli media with photos and videos of the attack.
Reports in Yemen say the attack targeted an oil depot in the port of al-Hudaydah and that there are casualties.
The Israeli army (IDF) announced itself with a statement in which it confirmed that it had carried out an attack on the Houthis.
“Fighters hit military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the Al Hudaydah port area of Yemen, in response to hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months,” the IDF said.
Pictures and video circulating on social media show flames and smoke rising from the target location.
According to Haaretz, the Houthis immediately announced a response to this Israeli attack.
The attack came a day after a Houthi-launched drone hit Tel Aviv, killing an Israeli. Israel then threatened to respond, Klix.ba reports.
