Israel launched a new series of strikes on central Iran on Monday, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claiming full control of the airspace over Tehran.

“The Israeli Air Force has full control of the skies over Tehran,” Netanyahu said in remarks at the Tel Nof air base in Rehovot in central Israel.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the military was striking dozens of targets in central Iran, without giving details.

The jets hit a truck exhibition in the Dizel Abad neighborhood of Kermanshah in western Iran, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Explosions were heard in the area, and reports said at least one person was injured.

Another strike was carried out on Farabi Hospital in the same city, the Tasnim news agency reported, without giving details of damage or casualties.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the attack on the hospital as a “grave violation of international law and a war crime.”

Regional tensions have escalated since Friday, when Israel launched coordinated airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes.

Israeli authorities said at least 24 people had been killed and hundreds injured in Iranian missile strikes since Friday.

Iran, for its part, said at least 224 people had been killed and more than 1,000 wounded in Israeli strikes.
