Israel issued orders to evacuate Palestinians from several Areas

On Saturday, the Israeli army issued more orders for the evacuation of Palestinians from several areas in the Gaza Strip, where it has been waging a war since October last year.

Army spokesman Avichay Adraee issued “a call to all residents and displaced persons in the Jabalia area and the settlements of Al-Salam, Al-Nour, Tal Al-Zaatar, Beit Lahia Project, Jabalia camp, Ezbet Mlin, Al-Rawda, Al-Nuzha, Al -Jarn, Al-Nahda and Al-Zuhour” in the northern Gaza Strip demanding that they “immediately head to shelters west of Gaza City”.

The army also ordered the evacuation of some neighborhoods in eastern Rafah, in southern Gaza where it has expanded operations.

The spokesman also called for the evacuation of Palestinians from certain settlements in eastern Rafah, especially from the Rafah and Shaboura camps and the settlements of Al-Adari, Al-Jeneina and Khirbat Al-Adas to head to Al-Mawasi.

The United Nations Palestine Refugee Agency (UNRWA) said on Friday that around 110,000 people had left Rafah for safety.

“As Israeli forces’ bombardment intensifies in Rafah, forced displacement continues. Nowhere is safe in the Gaza Strip and living conditions are dire. The only hope is an immediate ceasefire,” UNRWA said on Platform X.

The Israeli army on Tuesday took control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing on the border with Egypt, a vital route for humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The move came a day after the army ordered the evacuation of Palestinians east of Rafah, a move widely seen as a prelude to an Israeli ground assault on the city, which is home to some 1.5 million displaced Palestinians, AA writes.
