Israel has announced that it has eliminated Hamas’ head of arms and industry, Mohsen Abu Zina.
“He served as one of Hamas’ leading arms manufacturers, with expertise in strategic weapons and rockets, and his department enabled the arming of Hamas in the current conflict,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on social media.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant added that there will be no humanitarian truce without the return of the abductees, despite mounting international pressure on Israel to halt hostilities to allow aid to the Gaza Strip.
Hamas, not only a Palestinian militant group but also a political organization, launched a violent attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7, killing more than 1,400 people and taking hundreds of hostages.
Since then, Israel has carried out retaliatory airstrikes on Gaza and a ground operation in the Strip, which has killed more than 10,000 people, according to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry.
