Elon Musk thinks the dollar could become worthless

Elon Musk caused numerous reactions due to the announcement about the large national debt of the United States of America, and he warned that the American dollar will become worthless if nothing is done.

As reported by The Blaze, the national debt of the USA is more than 34 thousand billion dollars.

“We have to do something about our national debt or the dollar will be worth nothing,” Musk posted on social network X in response to an influencer’s post that included a quote from former US President National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, who calls for the allocation of funds for defense.

“I’m just stating the obvious,” Musk later added.

Political journalist Ed Krassenstein wrote to him that the problem is that neither administration wants to deal with the national debt issue because the long-term solution is likely to hurt the economy in the short-term.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul said that the national debt is actually the biggest threat to American national security and warned that “with crazy spending, Americans are threatening the existence of their own currency, and perhaps the country.”

Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming also expressed the view that “our debt is the greatest threat facing our country today.”
