Israeli Army arrested Palestinian-Bosnian Doctor Er-Ran

Fourteen citizens of BiH and their relatives are still in the Gaza Strip, near the Rafah border crossing, which is increasingly the target of military activities. The humanitarian situation is increasingly difficult.

The Palestinian-Bosnian doctor Muhammed er-Ran was arrested by the Israeli army during the operation, said his son Ibrahim: “I received a confirmation, they admitted that they arrested him, only two days ago. Because he is a doctor and because he helps the people, because he works in the hospital – he was undergoing surgery and they just broke into the Elahli Arab hospital, that is the hospital that was shelled at the beginning of the war, they broke into the hospital around 5 pm, the medical staff arrested whoever they wanted”.

We are talking about a doctor who, during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, joined the RBiH Army as part of the Pofalići detachment.

“They lost hope a little, it was probably expected after the first evacuation that they would be evacuated just as quickly and efficiently. However, the situation has become more complicated in the meantime due to military operations, difficult negotiations… Now it has definitely become a slightly more difficult issue, we are doing everything we can, but I note – the situation is much more difficult, and the interest of many countries is less than it was before two months”, said Semir Halilović, ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Qatar.
