Israeli Army has dropped 40,000 tons of Explosives on the Gaza Strip

The media office in Gaza announced today that the Israeli army has dropped 40,000 tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip since October 7.

Salama Maarouf, head of the media office, issued a statement on Telegram on the third day of a temporary humanitarian truce between Israel and Hamas, which took effect Friday morning.

“The Israeli occupation forces dropped 40,000 tons of explosives on the belt (since October 7), and the crimes of the occupation (occupation forces) took place away from the cameras,” Marouf said.

He explained that “the bombs that the occupying (forces) recently used had never been used before, and hundreds of martyrs were buried in the places where they died”.

“The devastation wrought by the occupation reflects its intention to make Gaza uninhabitable,” Maarouf said.

He also referred to the temporary pause in the fighting, stressing that “the days of respite exposed the magnitude of the significant massacre, which resulted in considerable destruction of infrastructure.”

“One third of the population of the Gaza Strip has yet to receive basic supplies, and the lack of all international institutions is evident,” Marouf said, calling on the international community to act, AA reports.
