Israeli Forces have killed around 9,000 women in the Gaza Strip, UN says

The organization UN Women announced that the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, in which about nine thousand women were killed, is also a war against women.

A report released by UN Women states that Israeli attacks in Gaza have caused unprecedented killing and wounding of women.

The report states that Israeli forces have killed around 9,000 women in the Gaza Strip to date, but the number may be higher, as there are many people under the rubble.

“If the war in Gaza continues at this rate, an average of 63 women will continue to be killed per day. The war in Gaza is at the same time a war against women”, it was pointed out.

The report points out that 37 mothers are killed every day in Israeli attacks and that this situation particularly affects children.

“Many more will die in the coming days and weeks if a humanitarian ceasefire is not reached urgently,” UN Women said.

Israel launched a deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, killing at least 30,320 people and causing widespread destruction and shortages of supplies in the blockaded Palestinian enclave.

On January 26, following a genocide lawsuit filed by the Republic of South Africa, the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel must refrain from any actions related to the killing, attacks and destruction of the residents of the Gaza Strip and take all measures to prevent genocide.
