The bus with the basketball players of the Israeli Hapoel Tel Aviv team arrived in Sarajevo’s Zetra under heavy police escort, where the Euroleague match against the Dubai Basketball team will be played tonight at 7 p.m.
The police temporarily redirected traffic and deployed a drone to monitor the security situation.
The match is being played in Sarajevo because it is prohibited from being held in the United Arab Emirates for security reasons.
Due to the arrival of the Israeli team, there was resistance from some citizens in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the match, and the police banned the announced protests in front of Zetra.
The Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton made a decision yesterday that the match will be played without an audience for security reasons.
