Today, members of the international monitoring mission for Census of households and apartments in BiH 2013, have finished the regular four-day visit to the statistical institutions in BiH. The focus was on IT infrastructure and preparations of the central procedures of census materials.
Recording, storage and processing of census data is one of the most important segments of the Census project so the members of the mission checked the preparation of IT infrastructure, the Central Information systems and systems for daily reporting.
“All planned activities in this segment are at the final stages and we believe it will be all completed on time. Central information system, or a system to manage the census activities such as records of elected and appointed candidates for enumerators, trainers and other census staff will be hired for the Census, storage contract, a statement of confidentiality are operational, a system for monitoring field work and daily reporting in the testing phase, and the system for data collection, storage and processing of Census data is in the final phase“, says Zdenko Milinović, director of the Agency for Statistics in BiH.
Members of the international monitoring mission for Census in BiH for four days visited regularly the statistical institutions of BiH and talked with members of the census bureau as well as with members of the Central Census Bureau. After this, there will submitted opinions and recommendations related to the process.
