In Banja Luka, the Association of Italian Businessmen in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was presented under the auspices of the Embassy of Italy in BiH.

Namely, the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republika Srpska (RS) Vjekoslav Petricevic said that there is a great interest of Italian businessmen in investing in processingand other types of industry, which is why it is important to start economic processes in the RS in which serious companies from Italy will participate.

Petricevic said that this is important considering the current global trends, and added that the Italians are particularly interested in the local wood processing, metal and textile, leather and footwear industries.

The goal of the Association of Italian Businessmen in BiH is, among other things, to monitor all developments related to economic indicators between BiH and Italy, to network BiH and Italian companies, and to help Italian investors in BiH.

The president of this association, Giuseppe Franki, says that these areas have a lot of potential and resources that should be used.

”I personally decided to invest in the area of Prijedor because of the geographical position, but also the potential of educated young people who can contribute a lot,” noted Franki, who has been operating in this area for eighteen years.

The head of the trade department at the Italian Embassy in BiH, Lorenzo Donatelli, expressed the hope that the meeting organized by the Association of Italian Businessmen in BiH in Banja Luka will further strengthen mutual economic and other relations.
