Bosanska DubicaBosanska Dubica, a small municipality in the north of BiH, is recently very popular among investors.

Besides local companies, in Dubica businessmen from Turkey, Italy and Germany want to do business and they will start with the production of prefabricated houses and containers, gherkins and medical apparel, as well as wood processing, in this municipality.

German company Carl Kuhne announced the purchase of four parcels on which they are planning to produce gherkins.

“They are already present here in cooperation with local producers, and they have a distribution center from which they send products to Germany. Now they want to produce here, collect, pack, and send to the market. The auction of land will be held on the 20th of February, and everything should start in spring,” said Emir Kocan, chief of the Department of Economics in the municipality of Bosanska Dubica.

From the Municipality are hoping to reach an agreement with the company from Tunisia which produces safety equipment and medical garments as well as with the Italians who are interested in processing wood.

“The company for safety equipment is choosing between Romania, Bulgaria, and BiH to build a plant, but it would suit them the most to choose us because there is already a similar Italian company that is number three in the world, and it also suits them geographically since there are two fabric plants on the area of BiH. We are waiting for their call and we are doing our best to attract them,” stated Mayor.
