Italy was ranked as the country with the healthiest population in the world. According to the survey, Bosnia and Herzegovina is at the 42nd place, Croatia at 35th place and Macedonia occupies 44th place.

The Bloomberg Global Health Index, which ranked 163 nations worldwide according to their health, ranked the nation on the Apennine Peninsula as the healthiest in the world, regardless of the economy that is facing some heavy challenges at the moment.

Italians are in better shape than Americans, Canadians, and British, who have higher blood pressure and cholesterol, and they also have a poorer mental health.

They also enjoy good nutrition, which is rich in vegetables and olive oil, according to Bloomberg.

Each country in the index was evaluated according to variables such as life expectancy, causes of death and health risks that are ranging from high blood pressure and tobacco use to malnutrition and availability of clean water.

Iceland, Switzerland, Singapore, and Australia are among the top five countries in the index.

The developed world is not without risk, mostly due to obesity. The United States occupy 34th place with a rating of 73.05 out of 100.
