Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović hosted the head of EU delegation to BiH, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark. They discussed the coming steps in the process of EU integration of BiH, establishment of a coordination mechanism, adaptation of the trade part of the Stabilization and Association Agreement and publishing of the results of population census, as well as the modalities of assistance by international financial institutions in the implementation of structural socio-economic reforms.
Ambassador Wigemark expressed satisfaction with the previous level of implementation of the Reform Agenda, praising the work and efforts by the Council of Ministers and the entity governments on maintaining the dynamics of launched reform processes.
Izetbegović expressed expectation that the coordination mechanism will be completely harmonized and that all bodies within that coordination mechanism will be appointed during the next month, as well as that the delegations of BiH and the European Commission will successfully conclude negotiations on adapting the trade part of the Stabilization and Association Agreement by the end of April, with an acceptable solution that will be based on respect for mutual interests.
Izetbegović and Wigemark agreed that it is necessary to apply standard and instructions by Eurostat in the data processing of population census, the Presidency of BiH stated.
