The former General Director of Sarajevo Clinical Centre (KCUS) Sebija Izetbegović spoke out after the decision of the KCUS Board of Directors on her dismissal.
“When in eight years (two terms of office) in the position of general director of KCUS, I return 100 million BAM in debt, compensate 10 million BAM of falsely presented supplies, pay approximately four million BAM according to the lawsuits of employees of the clinic for Orthopedics of KCUS, buy new equipment worth millions in all clinics, fix salaries for employees that have not increased for at least 10 years, fight for more decent salaries for teaching staff from KCUS at the Faculty of Medicine, abolish corruption and robbery, prohibit the bringing of envelopes and gifts for examination and surgery, prohibit criminal private work in the workplace time – I make enemies, mediocrities who do not forgive success and are bound by the same political agenda, so they come up with a dirty revenge. They plan to steal part of the documents from my file, steal and steal titles and launch an unprecedented media hunt against me,” stated Izetbegović.
She added that it didn’t last only eight years, but that three years of running the General Hospital should also be added, which, she says, she also found in disarray and debts, and left BAM 1.7 million in surplus.
“Proud of everything I did, thanks to the hard-working people who were my collaborators, I was an excellent director, without the slightest false modesty. Time will tell, and the court will prove, God willing. The imposed prime minister of FBiH (he had much fewer votes on elections than me) impatient to get hold of the KCUS, impose the KCUS Board of Directors and NOK from suitable personnel and initiate my dismissal, contrary to the law. It will certainly have a judicial epilogue because I will sue them,” she pointed out.
She said that no matter what they did, they didn’t tire her.
“I feel the strength with which I could run two more clinical centers with ease, I am convinced that we should fight for sick people with heart and knowledge. There is enough money if they don’t steal again, I have proven it. KCUS is still in a positive state of about 1 million BAM. They didn’t make me tired and I didn’t lose my empathy and desire to help and fight for the sick,” said Izetbegović.
