Izetbegovic: The strange Relationship continues in which Politicians are cooperating with those who used to stop the Processes

SDA President Bakir Izetbegovic, before the party’s Main Board session in Sarajevo, commented on the decision to form the government without, as he said, the political force that preserved stability and fought on Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)’s path to the European Union (EU).

“A strange and abnormal relationship continues, in which the political force that preserved stability, which opposed the destructive policies of the past term, is persistently thrown out, and other political forces go into a coalition with those who created the problem. How did we get candidate status for EU membership? Who brought it? Of course, the situation in the world and a different attitude towards the Balkans and the ‘seriousness’ of the EU contributed, but someone did some work. Which political force was it that pushed for a law to be adopted, and who was stopping that process?”, said Izetbegovic.

Also, he emphasized that in recent days the BiH public can seehow those who stopped processes and laws are being congratulated.

“And now we see that half of the pro-Bosnian bloc, led by the SDP, is going with them. It’s a strange, abnormal situation. What kind of concessions did they make, what did they agree to behind closed doors…” asked the SDA leader.

He believes that at the beginning the Eight “played” so that it would not be recognized.

“And then, in a cunning way, they gave Dodik the fourth delegate in the House of Peoples, and now they opened the cards and openly supported Srebrenka Golic, so that SNSD and HDZ would then deliver the Serbian caucus in the House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH (FBiH). That’s how they helped the Eight, which does not have a majority anywhere and which can’t do anything without SNSD and HDZ. We will see in the months ahead what they agreed to and what they signed,” he added.

When asked whether the SDA plans to form a government at the level of the FBiH, Izetbegovic said that he persistently calls for the formation of a pro-Bosnian front.

“That front has no alternative, but they ignored that fact. My last calls were for the sake of the public and history, and I knew they would not respond. As for the FBiH, the international factor pushing this is no longer particularly interested in FBiH, they were more interested in this at the top of the state,” believes Izetbegovic.

Finally, he added that the SDA is the winner in the FBiH and at all other levels and that it has a controlling hand in the Federal House of Peoples in the Bosniak caucus.

“The normal thing in accordance with the constitution and the law is to create a government led by the SDA,“ he added and once again pointed to the need to form a pro-Bosnian bloc, Klix.ba reports.
